alden is one! ONE!
thursday morning we had pre-dawn cake with papa, then later went to the park and hung out with some buddies. our buddy oscar gave als a vintage wooden owl puzzle! and his best (though perhaps also reluctant) friend walter gave him a book about a naked mole rat who wears clothes!

today we have a HUGE multiple-baby birthday party to attend in a park in greenpoint. alden thinks we should walk there, but the weather forecast is predicting some hot temps. we might try to convince him to take the train.
