Alden Louis, our little fuzz head, will be six weeks old tomorrow! The above photograph was taken around his two week birthday and while yes, it is a little outdated now and yes, he has added (quite a bit of) weight and rolls and a little hair since then, the Strong Man pose remains a favorite. It seems appropriate for our introductory post to depict Alden as he entered this world; Arm up! Ready to go!
Six weeks is such a short time, but there are already so many stories to share that it's difficult to condense them into a short, opening narrative. Combine that backlog of baby info with a general lack of sleep for Mama and Papa and well, you'll just have to trust us that the storytelling will become more sophisticated in future posts.
Here then is a sampling of Fascinating Alden Facts:
We've recently shared exciting outings and adventures with Nona and TJ (Grams and Gramps Soles), Grandma and Grandpa Whitmore and Aunt Josie!
We've been to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the neighborhood fancy pizza restaurant and all the way to Cape Cod to visit with Great Grammie Soles.
Alden started smiling early last week and loves hanging out with and basking in the warm glow of compliments from new friends and family, as well as neighbors, all of whom are understandably quite taken with him.
He's almost doubled his birth weight and is finally sleeping for more than an hour at a time. Hooray!
And on that note, it's nap time.
