We took Alden in his Ergo carrier to Williamsburg today. He kindly slept through our pizza lunch and several window shopping stops, waking just in time to get a little fussy for our visit to Sodafine to see Erin. He then dined al fresco and posed for a few grumpy photos before heading back home for bath time and some nice green jammies, courtesy of Great Uncle Kevin, Great Aunt Linda and Second Cousins Ben and Margaret. I can't believe he fits into these already! And look...sitting up and everything. Sort of.
Now he's passed out on the couch on his tummy (we are keeping a watchful eye and patting his back occasionally) while we watch Alien. We should definitely be taking this opportunity to put him in bed and take a little snooze ourselves, but it's kind of nice to watch a movie like a couple of normal people. You know, instead of a couple of sleep deprived zombies who go to bed before 10 on a Saturday night.
we try to watch a dvd at least once a week, even if i have to soothe leon 2-3 times during the movie.
ReplyDeletethose green jammies are super cute. leon just graduated to his 6-12 month baby gap pjs. i look at his newborn sized pjs and can't even remember him being that small. it's really nuts, how quickly they grow.
thanks erica! it's crazy, isn't it? i saw a 4 week old baby the other day and just couldn't get over how small she was. it's amazing to me that we had such a tiny creature in our possession just a few weeks ago.
