carrot! from valerie soles on Vimeo.
later, we took the train to williamsburg for yet another sing-along at the knitting factory. alden was still clutching the carrot until, i'm guessing, somewhere under the BQE. the teething apple with the yellow ring was lost on our walk to the park. funny how the onset of the desire to hold onto things coincides with the time of greater likelihood of their loss. luckily, bun isn't yet attached to one object in particular.
also! our first music class was yesterday! it was great, chaotic fun. a room full of crawlers and 15 parents singing and gesturing wildly is a sight to behold. alden literally nodded off while i fed him a snack of yogurt on the train platform on the way home. i haven't seen him that sleepy since he was a newborn.
oh! and our friend ginny, who took the amazing photo of alden, now has a website for her family photography: sugarbear. if you look through the babies portfolio, you may just spot a certain alden louis, looking quite handsome. many of his baby friends are featured as well. check it out!
i feel like i have to bungee cord all of leon's things to him. it's amazing how many pacifiers, dolls, etc., i find at the park and on the sidewalk. who knew there were so many babies in my neighborhood!
ReplyDeleteleon goes to the library sing-along but isn't really into it. he just started clapping. that's right, at 14 months!
i love that photo of alden in his stripes.
oh, alden doesn't really clap! he bangs things together, which is close, i guess, but he's never actually clapped his hands together. i'm not too worried because i think he just has no interest in it. he's clearly physically capable and he waves sometimes and gives high fives. i suspect leon and alden are just preoccupied with weightier matters than simple hand clapping, tiny geniuses that they are. heee
