our buddies kadria and baby henry alerted us to this video a while back. alden loves it. we're going to try to make him a night owl for halloween.

in other news, we got in trouble for playing on the playground this morning! the gate was closed, but not locked, so we pushed our way in to the swings and then were scrambling around the equipment a little when a park worker who was blowing trash and leaves with a blower came up and said that next time, when the gate is closed, don't come in. hmph! i am sad to say that i got a little uppity with him and said that it should have been locked if the playground was closed. it's true, but i should have just said ok and let it go. i don't like being chided! especially in front of als. also, i've been irritated lately that our local playgrounds seem to have an open gate policy when really, the gate should always be closed to keep the little ones from running out. meh!
