ollie lou borrowed a baby from a little girl on the playground today. his friend walt was borrowing her toy stroller and when alden saw that he couldn't have that, he compromised and took the doll. he walked around hugging and kissing it and calling it "baaayyyy", every once in while gently putting it on the ground and pointing to its eyes, "eyyyyyyyes" and then picking it up while making a "wahhhhh wahhhh" sound. when it came time to give the doll back to its mama, he cried a little until he found someone's toy truck, which he sat and "vroom vroom"ed for a good long time.

we're going away to visit grandma and grandpa whitmore and aunt josie and nona and tj and uncles nick and brendan later this week! we are so excited. alden's been practicing everyone's names.
