can you believe this photo? alden and his friends had arranged themselves almost exactly like this, without prompting! of course, that didn't last long enough to get a photo, but my friend k managed to persuade them back into position for this amazing class picture. i cannot get over how adorable it is and i'm pretty sure that's not just because i know these guys. well, all except for the one in golden shoes, chewing on her finger right next to my teething bun.

we've been claiming that they play together for a while now...at least a year, but now i think it's clear that they haven't *really* been playing together until recently. they call one another's names and chase and toss balls and and feed and share with and grab from each other. actual interaction! these are some solid little humans right here. i hope they're friends forever.
