I can't believe how long it has been since I wrote an Alden update! Well, an official one, at least. Sorry for the lapse! Reading back through the past few entries, I am sort of blown away by how much he has grown this year. From the very beginnings of sentences in February, to full sentences (paragraphs, even!), memorized poems and songs and BOSSINESS now! Our little guy is an honest to goodness kid. A kid who loves to be rocked like a baby, as long as it ends with being tossed into the air.

Everything about Alden, each aspect of his personality has been amplified in the past few months. He is both much sweeter and much more terrible than he was at 18 and 19 months old. He's more willful and also more aware of what he (and others) should and should not do. He can melt hearts and then, a moment later break them. He is intense! And we love him more than ever.

This is not the best video, but you can hear him ask his fallen lady friend if she's ok before he and his best buddy help her up. Super sweeties. Those two little guys love to hold hands and give one another hugs.  This usually ends in a fight, when one of them has had enough, but boy is it cute while it lasts...
